Dry winter air can cause your skin to crack, chafe, itch and develop dry patches, but there are a number of things you can do to protect your skin, says Jeff Moore, an instructor of pharmaceutics at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
"During cold spells, your skin is constantly bombarded, dried out, and increasingly susceptible to infection," Moore said in a university news release. He offered a number of winter skin care tips:
Drink six to eight glasses of water a day, because when we're properly hydrated, our skin lubricates itself from the inside.
Don't take long, hot showers. Instead, take shorter, warm showers. The steam and heat associated with long, hot showers can draw out moisture on the skin and cause dryness.
Use lotions and creams to create a barrier that protects your skin against dryness. For best results, apply a product with ingredients such as shea butter and petrolatum immediately after a shower or bath, when your skin is still moist.
Exfoliate regularly. This not only removes rough dry patches, but it promotes new cell growth and enhances the absorption of skin care products. Apply a moisturizer after exfoliating so that moisture brought to the surface doesn't immediately evaporate.
Don't use harsh soaps or cleansers, which contain preservatives, fragrances and lye that can irritate skin. Instead, use products that contain glycerin, which traps and maintains moisture.
Use a humidifier to counter the dry air created by furnaces and other heating devices. A humidifier in the bedroom can help combat dry skin.
It's best to start taking care of your skin early in the winter, before dryness has a chance to set in, Moore said.
"While we often neglect our skin, or only treat it for cosmetic reasons, it's important to remember that our skin is an organ, part of the body just like anything else, and requires constant care," he said.

Increase Your Web Traffic by Recovering Your Lost Visitors
Why Do Web Visitors Receive Error Messages?
If you spend any time surfing the Internet, you've probably encountered a few error messages.
Error messages have numerous causes, such as misspellings, outdated links or internal server errors. When an error is encountered, your server will display specific generic error pages according to the error. These error pages are not only dead ends, but they are also very frustrating for your potential visitors.
When your visitors mistype your web address or click on an outdated link and receive the dreaded error page, they'll most-likely click on their back button and never return. However, you can recover a majority of your lost visitors simply by taking the time to create some customized, user friendly error pages.
As servers run different types of software and do not function in the same manner, there isn't a simple method for creating custom error pages that will work with every system. However, if you have your own domain and your site is hosted on a Unix/Linux server running Apache, this article will assist you in creating custom error pages.
If you're not sure what type of server you're on, visit the following web address to find out:
http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph/
Before we begin, keep in mind, editing your server files is serious business. Even one small typographical error can wreak havoc -- make sure you make a backup copy of any file you're planning to edit.
Guidelines for creating your error pages:
1. Create your error pages in standard HTML -- just as you would create any other web page for your site.
2. Don't alarm your visitors. Never include the word "ERROR" in large, bold text. Your visitors may immediately become alarmed and think they've done something to cause the error. Instead, be apologetic and encourage your visitors to click on the navigational links to locate additional resources and information.
3. Your error pages should look just like the rest of your web pages. Each error page should contain good navigational links, a search feature, and provide information in regard to the specific error they received.
If you'd like to see an example error page, visit the following web address:
http://www.webmastercourse.com/error.htm
Once you've created an error page, save it as the error name. For example, if you're creating a customized error page for a 400 Bad Request error, your page should be saved as 400.html.
Here are some of the more common errors:
400 Bad Request
401 Authorization Required
403 Forbidden
404 File Not Found
405 Method Not Allowed
500 Internal Server Error
501 Method Not Implemented
502 Bad Gateway
503 Service Temporarily Unavailable
Once you've created your pages, you'll need to access your server via FTP and create a new folder called "errordocs" where you store your HTML files. Upload your new error documents into your new folder.
Your next step will be to locate your .htaccess file and download it to your computer. (If you use FrontPage to publish your web pages, you cannot customize the .htaccess file, as FrontPage uses the .htaccess file. Editing the file may cause errors in your configuration.) The .htaccess file should be located on your server where you store your HTML files.
If the .htaccess file isn't visible, you can create one within a plain text editor. However, you must first make sure your server isn't configured to hide the file. Your FTP program should enable you to choose to display hidden files and folders on your server.
Once you've downloaded your .htaccess file, open it within a plain text editor, such as Note Pad, and add the following lines below any other text that may be present:
ErrorDocument 400 /errordocs/400.html
ErrorDocument 401 /errordocs/401.html
ErrorDocument 403 /errordocs/403.html
ErrorDocument 404 /errordocs/404.html
ErrorDocument 405 /errordocs/405.html
ErrorDocument 500 /errordocs/500.html
ErrorDocument 501 /errordocs/501.html
ErrorDocument 502 /errordocs/502.html
ErrorDocument 503 /errordocs/503.html
If you're creating your own .htaccess file, open a plain text editor and add the above lines.
When typing in the information, make certain you type it exactly as it appears above. You can include the error documents of your choice.
Once the file is complete, save it as .htaccess and upload it to your server, via FTP in ASCII mode, where you store your HTML files.
If you have a Windows operating system, you will be unable to save the file as .htaccess. You'll need to save it as htaccess.txt. Once you upload the file to your server, you can rename it to .htaccess.
That's all there is to it. When your visitors click on an outdated link, your custom error page will now be displayed.
Creating your own custom error pages is well worth the time and effort, as they will enable you to recover an unlimited number of your visitors. If you follow this step by step guide, you can have your pages up and running in no time.

COP Positioned To Head Higher

Commentary:
An inverse head-and-shoulders is a commonly used chart pattern for predicting the reversal of a stock that has been trading within a downtrend. As you can see from the chart below, the pattern is formed when the price action of the security meets the following characteristics:
1. The price falls to a trough and then rises.
2. The price falls below the former trough and then rises again.
3. Finally, the price falls again, but not as far as the second trough.
Active traders typically enter into a long position once the price rises above the resistance that has formed at the top of the troughs; this level is also known as the neckline. The pattern gets its name from the distinct shape created on the chart. The first and third trough are considered shoulders, and the second peak forms the head. As is the case with many other chart patterns, a trader will watch for a rise in volume as the price moves above the resistance level to confirm the validity of the breakout (shown on the chart by the circle). Let's take a look at a stock that is currently trading within an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, signaling a potential near-term reversal.

Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders meeting at Omaha - 2008, Nebraska a few weeks back.
It was a wonderful experience listening to and learning from the Master Investor- Warren Buffet himself and all I can say is that he stands alone as the reigning deity of financial world's Mt Olympus!
The degree of humility and composure he exhibited, although he is the richest and most well respected human is stunning!
I tried to take some notes and would like to share with you some of the best questions and answers which came across during the conversation between we mortals and God.
Having read about him, observed him and worshipped him for a few years now, I think it is reasonable to believe that this guy is exactly what he seems: a plain-speaking, tee totaling man of unbreakable integrity who works really, really hard and sticks to his investing and management principles through boom and bust which makes him a freak of nature since he is above normal human tendencies. He is like a comet streaking through the heavens every 75 years or so.
The questions the shareholders threw at him for 7 continuous hours ranged from finances, life, religion, career, politics, sports and several other streams. And he answered everything with a Zen like calm and confidence.
Even if you are least bothered about investments and finances, I insist, Pl read on.

What does it take to become a successful investor? Brilliance or Smartness?
Neither, Success in investing doesn't correlate with I.Q. Once you have ordinary intelligence, what you need is the temperament to control the urges that gets other people into trouble in investing.
When do you decide to invest in a firm?
The best thing that happens to us is when a great company gets into temporary trouble. We want to buy them when they're on the operating table. (Mr. Buffet bought Coke when it had its biggest fiasco after launching New Coke; he bought American Express when it went through a loss making phase in the early 60's)
What do you look for in people when they come to sell their firms to you?
I don't look for the usual credentials such as an MBA, a pedigree (Harvard, Wharton), or cash reserves or market cap of their firm. What I look for is just a passion in their eyes; I think that's the key. A person who is hungry will always do well. I prefer it when people even after selling stay on and work for the firm; they are people who can't wait to get off their bed to get to work. Passion is everything; there is no replacement for innate interest.
Mr. Buffet, you told us that Berkshire Hathaway has $ 45 Billion in cash. Why aren't you investing?
Up until a few years back I had more ideas than money. Now I have more money than ideas.
When do you plan to retire?
I love my job; I love it so much that I tap dance to work. Mrs. B, the founder of Nebraska Furniture Mark worked until she was 104, she died within 6 months of her retirement, that's a lesson to all my managers, don't retire! I personally am going to work 6-7 years after I die, probably that's what they mean when they say- "Thinking out of the Box"!!
Why do stock market crashes happen?
Because of human nature for greed and insecurity. The 1970s were unbelievable. The world wasn't going to end, but businesses were being given away. Human nature has not changed. People will always behave in a manic-depressive way over time. They will offer great values to you."
What are the things that are taught wrong in Business school and the corporate world?
I like such open ended questions, I think Business schools should refrain from teaching their wards about profit making and profit making alone, it gives a sense of 1 dimensional outlook to the young students that loss is a curse. In reality, in the corporate world, failure and loss making are inevitable. The capital market without loss is like Christianity without hell. I think they should teach the student on how to buy a business, how to value a business? Not just on how to determine the price of a business. Because price is what you pay, value is what you get.
Do you still hate Technology stocks?
With Coke I can come up with a very rational figure for the cash it will generate in the future. But with the top 10 Internet companies, how much cash will they produce over the next 25 years? If you say you don't know, then you don't know what it is worth and you are speculating, not investing. All I know is that I don't know, and if I don't know, I don't invest."
How to think about Investing?
The first investment primer was written by Aesop in 600 B.C. He said, 'A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.' Aesop forgot to say when you get the two in the bush and what interest rates are; investing is simply figuring out your cash outlay (the bird in the hand) and comparing it to how many birds are in the bush and when you get them."
How do you feel after donating $ 40 Billion to the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation? You are a hero to us! I feel nothing. I haven't sacrificed anything in life. I have had a good life. I donated after I turned 75. I think I admire those people who sacrifice their time, share their food and home, as the people to be emulated not me. Besides, what is money before a man's life?
What do you think are the pitfalls in donation?
I have never donated a dime to churches or other such organizations; I need to believe in something before I end up doing that. I have been observing the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation for years now and I am confident they will do a fantastic job of making use of the money. I am a big believer in Outsourcing, others believed in me as an Investor and gave their hard earned money to invest. I believe in Bill Gates, he is a better donor than me.
Why do you work from Omaha and not Wall Street , New York ?
Wall Street is the only place where people alight from Rolls Royce to get advised by people who use the Public transportation system.
You seem to be so well read, tell us how it all started.
My father was a stock broker, so we had all these financial books in our library. He introduced me to those classics and I got into them. I am lucky that my father was not a fan of Playboy! Reading is the best habit you can get. Well, you can learn from teachers too, and have mentors but there are so many constraints attached- they will talk fast, talk slow, they might talk like a pro or they might be terrible communicators. Books are a different animal altogether, I love reading! The beauty about reading and learning is that the more you learn the more you want to learn.
People who join Berkshire Hathaway seldom leave. How do you get along well with all your executives?
I try to get quality people. I always say - Hire someone in your organization who is better than you are. If you do that, you build a company of giants. If you get people worse than yourself, you build a company of dwarfs. And do not try to do everything yourself. Delegate the jobs and look out of the window. The results will come. That's how you build institutions. It happens only when you empower others, believe in others. I am an investor, I am very secured at that, I have no clue how to make Coca-Cola or how to dole out credit cards (Mr. Buffet owns 8% of Coca-Cola and 13 % of American Express). I understand the wisdom of the aphorism that you cannot please all the people all the time. Of Course, you will always find qualities that you don't like in people around you, but if you observe carefully the love of the work unites you both. There is no point in being obsessive about a bad quality in a person, whom you otherwise respect.
I am a small time businessman from Dallas , Texas , what do I need to do to hit big time?
Be patient, Achieving your financial goals and dreams will not happen overnight. As much as we would all really love to accomplish our goals in a few years, this is an ongoing process. Defining your financial goals is not a one-time task; you need to keep adding new plans at different stages in your life. We all admire the skills of Olympic ice skaters, pro golfers, and concert pianists. But do we remember that they didn't acquire their skills overnight? They had to practice hours on end for years to achieve their dreams. The key to success is to continue learning throughout your life with a voracious appetite.
I think it is marvelous that you have had a golden run with investing, how did you do that?=====
My rule is to be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful. Besides, I call investing the greatest job in the world because you never have to swing. You stand at the plate; the pitcher throws you General Motors at 47! U.S. Steel at 39! And nobody calls a strike on you. There's no penalty except opportunity lost. All day you wait for the pitch you like; then when the fielders are asleep, you step up and hit it. Stay dispassionate and be patient. You're dealing with a lot of silly people in the marketplace; it's like a great big casino and everyone else is boozing. If you can stick with drinking Coke, you should be OK. First the crowd is boozy on optimism and buying every new issue in sight. The next moment it is boozy on pessimism, buying gold bars and predicting another Great Depression, most people get interested in stocks when everyone else is. The time to get interested is when no one else is. You can't buy what is popular and do well.
Mr. Buffet you have seen so many crashes and recessions, your take on facing recessions and stock market crashes?
If past history was all there was to the game, the richest people would be librarians. Every scenario is different. But always remember, Tough times do not last. Tough people do.
What is the 1 biggest advice you would impart to a young investor like me?
Think for a moment that you are given a car and told this is the only car you would get for the rest of your life. Then you would make sure that you car is taken care of well, it is oiled and detailed every now and then. You would make sure that it never gets rusted, and you would garage it. Think of yourself as that car. You just get 1 body, 1 mind and 1 soul. Take care of it well. Invest in yourself that would be my advice.
You personally know many of the Financial executives who are engineers of the current turmoil in the financial world, surprisingly even after record losses, those executives receive astronomical salaries and bonuses and arrogantly declare that they deserve it, why dint you advice them from making such decisions and what's your view on their justification for their pay?
I like sharing my ideas but don't like imposing my ideas on anybody. It doesn't make sense and is a waste of time. If somebody has decided that they know everything that is there to know, nobody can help them. The best way to learn and succeed is to know that we know nothing. There is an entire universe out there and still some of us think we can know everything. In the world of investing a few people after making some money tend to imagine they are invincible and great. This is the worst thing that could happen to any investor, because it surely means that the investor will end up taking unnecessary risks and end up losing everything – arrogance, ego and overconfidence are very lethal. Personally I don't feel too comfortable with too much extravagance, because I always think like an investor. My thought process doesn't see a lot of value in a fancy car or a designer suit. Thinking like an investor always is very important to bring in a sense of discipline and focus. Before reading balance sheets and investing you need to make sure your outlook and mind set is that of an investor. Never let ego, arrogance and over-confidence control you - not just as an investor but also as a human being. You will never have internal peace if you are unable to look at everybody around you with love, compassion and understanding. Irrespective of who the person is, he or she can teach you something you don't know. I have learnt so much from people all around me and I wouldn't have been able to learn all these wonderful things if I had not spoken to them with a smile. To quote Sir Isaac Newton- If I have seen farther than others, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants.
How do you make the Government eat out of your hands? How do you make them agree to everything you do?
If the strategy of a private enterprise matches the policy of the government, the government will be compelled to support you even if they don't like you.
It was a wonderful experience listening to and learning from the Master Investor- Warren Buffet himself and all I can say is that he stands alone as the reigning deity of financial world's Mt Olympus!

The Symmetrical Triangle: A Reliable Workhorse
You’ll recognize the symmetrical triangle pattern when you see a stock’s price vacillating up and down and converging towards a single point. Its back and forth oscillations will become smaller and smaller until the stock reaches a critical price, breaks out of the pattern, and moves drastically up or down.
The symmetrical triangle pattern is formed when investors are unsure of a stock’s value. Once the pattern is broken, investors jump on the bandwagon, shooting the stock price north or south.

Symmetrical Triangle Pattern
To form your symmetrical triangle pattern, draw two converging trendlines that bound the high and low prices. Your trendlines should form (you guessed it) a symmetrical triangle, lying on its side.
How to Profit from Symmetrical Triangles
Symmetrical triangles are very reliable. You can profit from upwards or downwards breakouts. You’ll learn more about how to earn from downtrends when we talk about maximizing profits.
If you see a symmetrical triangle forming, watch it closely. The sooner you catch the breakout, the more money you stand to make.
Watch For:
• Sideways movement, a period of rest, before the breakout.
• Price of the asset traveling between two converging trendlines.
• Breakout ¾ of the way to the apex.
Set Your Target Price:
As with all patterns, knowing when to get out is as important as knowing when to get in. Your target price is the safest time to sell, even if it looks like the trend may be continuing.
For symmetrical triangles, sell your stock at a target price of:
• Entry price plus the pattern’s height for an upward breakout.
• Entry price minus the pattern’s height for a downward breakout.

6 smart tips on investing
Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.
Not all businesses are created equal
"An economic franchise arises from a product or service that:
(1) Is needed or desired,
(2) Is thought by its customers to have no close substitute, and
(3) Is not subject to price regulation."
If the company under evaluation has enjoyed a long track record of greater than average returns on capital as well as profit margins then there is a good chance that the company qualifies for the definition of a 'franchise.'
Price is what you pay, value is what you get
"The value of any stock, bond or business today is determined by the cash inflows and outflows - discounted at an appropriate interest rate - that can be expected to occur during the remaining life of the asset. Note that the formula is the same for stocks as for bonds."
The technique mentioned about is also popularly known as the discounted cash flow, or the DCF.
Ignorance is bliss
"What counts for most people in investing is not how much they know, but rather how realistically they define what they don't know. An investor needs to do very few things right as long as he or she avoids big mistakes."
Tackling the 'forecaster' in you
"We insist on a margin of safety in our purchase price. If we calculate the value of a common stock to be only slightly higher than its price, we're not interested in buying. We believe this margin-of-safety principle, so strongly emphasized by Ben Graham, to be the cornerstone of investment success."
When you buy, please ensure that your DCF-based value per share is at least 50 per cent higher than the current share price so that even if your assumptions turn out to be little aggressive or something unexpected happens to the company, the loss of your initial invested amount is minimized.
The all-important 'SELL' decision
That solid 'franchise' that you bought two years ago and the one that had a strong margin of safety has given you attractive returns and now you wish to dump it. Dump you should if you've found another equally attractive opportunity in another equally strong 'franchise.'
But that is seldom the case. Furthermore, selling involves transaction costs. For these very reasons, it is against the concept of selling strong 'franchises' unless their performance looks weaker from a long-term perspective. This is what he has to say on the issue.
"If the work is done right while investing in a stock, the time to sell it is never." Furthermore, he adds, "Our holding period is forever."
We have someone who has walked the talk and has remained invested in business for years together. Indeed, the urge to sell is very high, but you would do your investment returns a world of good, if you continue to stick with good, solid 'franchises' for years together.
The golden rules
They are:
Rule #1: Do not lose money; and
Rule #2: Always remember the rule #1.

ALL SLEEP NO PLAY
Your sleep may be doing you more harm than good, courtesy these myths. Read on to find out
THE MORE SLEEP, THE BETTER
That's wrong. Research has proved that sleeping for long hours can adversely affect your health. Sleep is associated with rest and a refreshing mind but sleeping excessively is not the answer. Those who sleep for more than eight hours a day are either suffering from a disorder or may be on the verge of suffering from sleep apnea or even depression.
SOME PEOPLE NEED VERY LESS SLEEP
True, every individual has a different sleep requirement. However, those who sleep for four or less than four hours are not the super humans that many make them out to be. In fact, chances are that they aren't aware of how tired they are. Research has shown that too little sleep not only hampers concentration but also leads to weight gain and hinders your performance at work. The problems faced by those who sleep very less are somewhat similar to those who sleep too much. If you continue with lack of sleep for a long period of time, chances are, heart problems are not far off.
WAKING UP MIDNIGHT MEANS BAD SLEEP
It might just be a natural body cycle. One's body may be built in a way to wake up in the night, either to answer nature's call or maybe even out of the need for sex. They may get up in the night, and go back to sleep and not feel tired at all. Just because you wake up in the middle of the night does not mean that it's unnatural and that your body's not getting the desired amount of sleep. You can wake up feeling as fresh as someone who slept continuously for seven to eight hours.
WE CAN MAKE UP FOR SLEEP ON WEEKENDS
You work long hours during the week and spend your weekends sleeping all day. That's what experts call 'sleep bulimia'. You may think that you are 'catching up' on sleep. However, on the contrary, you may be finding it even harder to get the quality sleep that you have missed out on throughout the week. You only end up upsetting your body cycle. It’s best to sleep early and get up at the same time, even if it’s a weekend.

Ganesh is the Ever-Blissful, elephant-headed deva (god) who is lovingly worshipped and revered by millions of people worldwide. Although Ganesh is known through the Hindu religion, Shri Ganesh transcends religion and is loved by many non-Hindu's. Ganapati is worshipped by both Vaishnavas (devotees of Vishnu) and Saivites (devotees of Shiva). It is for this Transcendent, All-Embracing, Auspicious Lord of the Ganas, Sri Ganesh, for whom this site is dedicated. Enjoy and much Peace to you!
The son of Shiva and Parvati, Shree Ganesh, is the God of Good Luck and Auspiciousness and is the Dispeller of problems and obstacles. He is also worshipped as the God of wisdom, wealth, health, celibacy, fertility and happiness. In the panchayatana puja, Ganesh is glorified as one of the five prime Hindu deities (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Shakti and Ganesha) whose worship confers immortality and liberation.
Ganesh Chaturthi - Vinayaka Chaturthi
Devotees of Ganesha are known as 'Ganapatyas', and Ganesh Chaturthi (also known as Ganesha Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaturthi) is the holy festival that celebrates His Glory through India by all Hindu's. Vinayak Chaturthi is celebrated on the 4th day of the bright half of Bhadrapad. This festival is honored as the birthday of Sri Ganesh. Ganapati transcends all sects and views and is equally worshipped by both Saivites and Vaishnavas because Ganesh is viewed as an Incarnation of both Vishnu and Shiva. Ganesha is even worshipped and revered among Buddhists and Jains.
Mystery of Ganesh
Once there was neither Being nor Nonbeing. There was neither Form nor Formlessness. Then, That which was hidden within Itself, That One, stirring, emerging, coming to be. From Itself to the Formless to the Form. Immutable, changeless, everywhere, pervading all, yet not physically such is the mystery. Suddenly an ancient note piercing the darkness. A song whose birth stirred the slumbering, summoning an eternal mystery to awaken. Emerging from deep within the hidden cave, the human heart, Ganesha's truth flows from the icecave of the infinite. Housed within our gated dwelling, Ganesha the guest loved and longed for. That which has no form, can take a form. That which has no name, can take a name. From the formless to form, and back again and again and again. The wheel of time gathers speed, and somewhere between fact and legend, vision and myth, we ask, "Who is Ganesha? There are those who lovingly sing his praises. There are those who worship and adore him. There are those who represent him in art and literature. There are those who tell stories about him. There are those who chant his glory. There are those who seek his darshana. There are those who invoke and invite his blessings. The thinkers think, the scholars scholasticise, the devotees worship. But what is Ganesha's hidden meaning? There is a long and hoary lineage of seekers, scholars, sycophants, who have attempted to plumb the mysteries of the elephant-headed one. Anthropologists, Artists, religious Aspirants, Historians, Indologists, Linguists, Philosophers, Religionists, Sociologists, and contemporary devotees of Ganesha are but some of the most recent representatives of this enquiry. Each group has attempted, and continues to attempt, to make sense of this enormously popular deity. Seemingly incongruous facts simultaneously coincide. Ganesha embodies: An enormous popularity that transcends sectarian and territorial limits; a seemingly rather late, yet dramatic, full-blown appearance into a religious pantheon; a confusing, conflicting, yet interesting and intriguing mythology; and an elephant's head atop a plump human body! To further complicate the picture is the fact that the physical representation of Ganesha offers more iconographic variations than does that of any other Indian deity. Couple this with the fact that Ganesha literature is rife with a seemingly endless number of stories on an unexpectedly limited number of themes. O Ganesha, who are you really? Tell the others what you want, tell them anything, but between you and me, who are you really?
What Ganesh Stands For
Ganesha has four arms which symbolize his status as the universal ruler and establish his power over the four categories of beings - those who can live only in water, those who can live in water and on earth, those who can live only on earth and those who can fly in air. Significance of four : It was god Ganesha who instituted the four castes and the four Vedas. One hymn in Sri Bhagavat Tattva , says: 'In heaven, this child will establish the predominance over gods, on earth over men, in the nether world over anti-gods and serpents. He causes the four principles of the elements to move and is therefore four armed. In one hand, he holds a shell, in another a discus, in the third a club or a sweet and in the fourth a lotus.' Thus, all aspects of Ganesh's form are filled with symbolic meanings.
The Vehicle of Ganesh
Sathya Sai has said, "The mouse is the vehicle of Vinayaka. What is the inner significance of the mouse? The mouse has a keen sense of smell. The mouse is a symbol of the attachment to worldly tendencies (vaasanas). It is well known that if you want to catch a mouse, you place a strong-smelling edible inside the mouse-trap. The mouse also symbolizes the darkness of night. The mouse can see well in the dark. As Vinayaka's vehicle the mouse signifies an object that leads man from darkness to light. The Vinayaka-principle, thus, means that which removes all the bad qualities, practices and thoughts in men and inculcates good qualities, good conduct and good thoughts."
What does "Vinayaka" Mean
Sathya Sai says, "Who is Vinayaka? In the sloka beginning with the words, Suklaambaradharam Vishnum, only the form of the deity is described. But there is another inner meaning for the name "Vinayaka". Suklaambaradharam means one who is clad in white. Vishnum means he is all-pervading. Sasivarnam means his complexion is grey like that of ash. Chathurbhujam means he has four arms. Prasannavadanam means he has always a pleasing mien. Sarvavighnopasaanthaye means for the removal of all obstacles. Dhyaayeth, meditate (on him). Vinayaka is the deity who removes all bad qualities, instills good qualities and confers peace on the devotee who meditates on him Vinayaka means that he is totally master of himself. He has no master above him. He does not depend on anyone. He is also called Ganapathi. This term means he is the lord of the ganas - a class of divine entities. This term also means that he is the master of the intellect and discriminating power in man. He possesses great intelligence and knowledge. Such knowledge issues from a pure and sacred mind."
Ganesh's Intellect
Sathya Sai says, "What is the esoteric meaning of Ganesha's elephant head? The elephant is noted for its acute intelligence. Ganesha's elephant head symbolizes sharpness of intellect and the highest power of discrimination. Because of the purity of his intellect, Vinayaka is also called the giver of buddhi (intellect). He responds to the prayers of devotees and hence is known as Siddhi Vinayaka (the Vinayaka who grants what is sought). In a forest, when an elephant moves through the jungle, it clears the way for others to follow. Likewise, by invoking Ganesha, the path is cleared for our undertakings. The elephant's foot is so large that when it moves it can stamp out the footprints of any other animal. Here, again, the symbolic meaning is that all obstacles in the way will be removed when Ganesha is accorded the place of honor. The journey of life is made smoother and happier by the grace of Ganesha. When an elephant moves among the bushes, its path turns into a regular passage for all animals. It is thus a pacesetter for all animals." Similarly, Ganesha clears the path leading to Wisdom, Intellect, and Inner Peace.
Two Shaktis Of Ganesh
Ganesha has two Siddhis (symbolically represented as wives or consorts): Siddhi (success) and Riddhi (prosperity). Wherever there is Ganesh, there is Success and Prosperity~ Wherever there is Success and Prosperity~ there is Sri Ganesh.
Ganesh as the Scribe
Ganesha is accepted as the god of learning and the Patron Deity of letters and scriptures. Ganesh's tusk is used by him in the writing of the epic, the Mahabharata. When Vyasa wanted to compose the Mahabharata, Brahma suggested Ganesha be his scribe. Vyasa agreed and Ganesha brought his broken tusk as a writing quill. Vyasa dictated the entire epic in verse. Ganesha recorded every word for Gods and men alike.

NANOTECHNOLOGY
The new word "Nanomaterial" literally means that it is the material with at least one of its dimensions in the range of a nanometer.
The material need not be so small that it cannot be seen; it can be a large surface or a long wire whose thickness is in the scale of nanometers; the range could be 1 to 103 nanometers.
However this is only a trivial guess answer expected from a student of general education.
The Nanomaterials are of our interest not simply because their size is exactly or roughly one nanometer as suggested by the name. They are so named because the size, at and below which many materials exhibit interesting properties , falls on the scale of a few orders of a nanometer. We have to seek the speciality of this small size to get the most apppropriate difinition of the Nanomaterial: Suppose we cut any solid material of the some volume, say gold biscuit of 100 centimetre cube, into pieces: then each piece will have the same properties of the gold but for, ofcourse, the size. If they are cut further, the small pieces still possess the same qualities of the gold. Thus the macroscopic solid pieces of the materials possess size independent properties. The density, color, hardness, melting point, resistivity etc of the material do not depend on the size. Now imagine that we can cut the material indefinitely into pieces of any small size that we wish; these pieces may be so small that we cannot see them individually. Also assume that we can pack them together like a spoonful powder so that we can see them collectively. Then it has been found that below a particular size of each piece, the properties of the material depend on the size; the same gold pieces, each smaller than a particular size, will no longer be yellow; they may be red or violet collectively, depending on the particle size. This surprising fact is illustrated by the colour photos of samples.
Now-a-days to divide the matter into extremely small particles is not at all hypothetical; we have well established methods of preparing such small pieces and utilizing their special properties; in fact, this is the nanotechnology attracting top class industries throughout the globe to invest billions of dollars expecting roaring profits.
Now we may state the most appropriate definition:
A nanomaterial is that which is made up of particles each of size small enough to exhibit size dependent properties and large enough to form a solid state structure.
This matter will be in the gaseous state if its atoms or molecules are free from each other. In this field of nanotechnology, we are interested in solid state materials; hence nanoparticles are necessarilylarger than diatomic or triatomic molecules. They measure intermediate in size and posses transitional properties between isolated small molecules and bulk materials of the same composition. These new properties of the materials are size controlled and exploited to design the nanodevices, the smallest human made solid state structures of the present day technology. Biomaterials are naturally existing nanomaterials. Many universities, research institutes and prospective industries are preparing a variety of nanomaterials.

NANOFABRICATION
There are two basic approaches for nanoparticle manufacturing: The 'Top-down' and the 'Bottom-up' nanofabrications. Obviously, in the first approach, we start with a bulk material and go on grinding or etching it to nanoscale by some suitable techniques. In the second process, we start with the individual atoms or molecules and apply suitable techniques to build up the nanoparticles. There are many methods under each approach.
The nanoparticles are prepared in different forms: A nanoparticle with only one of its three dimensions in the nanoscale is called a quantum well, one with two dimensions in the nanorange is called a quantum wire or nanowire and one with all its three dimensions in the nanorange is known as a quantum dot. The word quantum, used in this context, is to indicate that the drastic changes in the material properties are due to quantum mechanical effects prevailing in the ultra small domains. There are also nanostructures in the form of nanoclusters and nanotubes used for different purposes. There are many methods of nanofabrication. While each method will have its own advantage, some may be more suitable than others for processing materials of particular composition.
1. Attrition Milling: Some companies have developed 'Stirred Ball Mills for grinding certain materials into fine powders. The machine consists of special steel balls in a water cooled steel vessel and a high speed motor driving shaft with arms.
The vessel is the stationary tank; the balls are stirred and act as the grinding media. The material to be powdered is kept in the media. When the machine operates, the media exerts both shearing and impact forces on the material and grinds it. This kind of milling is used to prepare silicon carbide nanoparticles. The grinding in the mill is carried with different fluids like ethylene glycol, n-hexane, xylene, butanol and water with surface active agent (surfactant). The size of the nanoparticles obtained in the process depends on many factors like type of SiC, grinding hour, the weight ratio of the steel balls to the initial SiC particles, fluid media etc. The nanoparticles produced by milling are contaminated by iron etc. The powder will be purified by treating with hydrochloric acid. The size of the SiC nanoparticles obtained is in the range of (30-550)nm. Nanoparticles of Alumina and Zirconia are also prepared by this process.
2. Sol-Gel process: Initially a homogeneous solution (Sol) of a material is prepared and used as a precusor for nanofabrication. The sol is deposited on a suitable substrate by spraying, dipping or spnning. It is kept for a while for geletion(Gel). During this 'gelation time' the material gradually looses its fluidity and undergoes a transition from viscous liquid state to elastic solid state. This time depends on the viscosity, temperature etc of the solution. The desired nanoparticles are finally fabricated from the gel by further processing of heat treatment etc. Some examples of the materials processed by this method are Tetraethyl Orthosilicate, Trimethyl Borate, Aluminium Sec-Butoxide, Titanium Iso-Propoxide, Zirconium Iso-Propoxide etc.
3. Nanoscale Lithography: The word lithography derived its meaning from sculpturing figures from big stones. The basic principle of the process is similar for both the nanostructures and the well known microchips but for selection of suitable agents. It makes use of radiation passing through a template and shining a surface of the material to be fabricated. The material is coated with a radiation-sensitive resist and is seated on a substrate. The desired pattern is impressed on the surface which is then masked. The rest of the material and the excess resist are etched out by chemical processing. Finally the mask is removed to obtain the nanostructure of the desired size and shape. In the case of nanofabrication, electron beam is used insted of light. A typical resist is the polymer polymethyl methacrylate. An example for the material fabricated by this process is GaAs. Other types of radiations like neutral atom beams are also employed in this process for some other materials(e.g.,Li, Na and k). This sequence of the steps in this process used for preparing a quantum dot or quantum wire from an ilnitial quantum well of the material is illustrated in the figure below:
.bmp.jpg)
Nanoscale Lithography: (a) initial quantum well, coated with a resist, on a substrate; (b) radiation through a shielding template; (c) configuration after dissolving irradiated portion of resist by developer; (d) disposition after addition of etching mask; (e) mask after removal of remainder of resist; (f) configuration after etching away the excess quantum-well material; (g) final nanostructure on substrate after removal of etching mask.
There are some variations in the lithographic techniques. One of them is the so called Dip pen Nanolithography (DPN) developed by Chad Mirkin and his collaborators at Northwestern University. It uses Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) tip as the nano-pen. The atoms or molecules stored at the top in the AFM tip serve as reservoir of nano-ink. The material to be nanofabricated is placed on a substrate. Then the AFM tip is moved as a scanning probe on the surface of the material. The molecules transferred from the tip to the surface will affect the surface. This is like writing as we wish and is useful to construct any arbitrary nanostructures. The advantage of this technique is that any thing can be used as nano-ink to process any material. But it is a comparatively slow process.
4. Molecular Recognition: Some molecules have ability to attract and bind to some other specific molecules. This is known as molecular recognition. This process takes place in many bio-systems. For example, it is responsible for allergies caused in human beings. Chemistry of molecular recogniltion is a key factor in bottom - up nanofabrication. It is especially useful in the preparation of drugs, adhesives, paints etc.
5. Self- Assembly: In chemistry, especially in pharmaceutical chemistry, molecular synthesis is a routine job. Specific molecules are synthesized for different purposes by manipulating the necessary atoms one by one through chemical reactions. This process is very slow and cumbersome, more so when used at nanoscale. The self-assembly technique cleverly takes the advantage of one natural phenomena to synthesize the nanomolecules. The idea is that the molecules always seek the lowest energy available to them; if bonding between adjacent molecules accomplishes this, they will bond themselves. If necessary they will also reorient their physical positions for this purpose. Realizing this, self-assembly techniques are used for making nanostructured objects by selecting proper components which naturally organize themselves. In this process, particular atoms or molecules are introduced onto a surface or onto a preconstructed nanostructure. Then the molecules align themselves into a particular positions forming bonds in order to minimize their energy. Thus large quantities of nanostructures can be prepared.

Guys and gals Do read THIS STory.... AWESOME
I completely agree that women are wonderful but lots of men are equally wonderful people... .. Read on (it's a little lengthy) ... .I found this story really nice.....
"Ours was an arranged marriage. It was done the traditional way. Our parents took care of everything. My only condition was that she should be ready to work. Our horoscopes and photos were exchanged. Everything Matched. I spoke to her over the phone. We talked about things two strangers would talk. She was a lecturer in Bangalore who felt Chemistry was more important than Hindi movies. There was no engagement. The date for marriage was fixed in 2 weeks as I could not get a vacation after that. Even the vacation time I got was just 10 days.
Everything was fixed. It was supposed to be very hectic for me. We got married and 2 days later we had to leave the country. She cried like there was no tomorrow when we left. She would not talk to me on the plane. I thought that was usual for an Indian girl. I th! ought she would get over it. Once home she would not talk to me. She sat in a corner staring at the TV. For the first couple of days I had to catch up on some work and did not take her mood seriously.
A week later I sat beside her and asked her, "What is wrong?"
"Why did you bring me here?"
"What do you mean? What happened?"
"I want to go home"
"This is your home"
"No. I want to go home. Please buy me a ticket"
"Look, everybody feels homesick. I did when I came here the first time. It is normal. You will get over it. Sorry I have been busy with work. We can go out this weekend. You will meet my friends and other people who will be very friendly. Come on be a good girl"
"I hate this place. I miss my family, my friends, and my college. All the people I know are not here. I want to go home"
"Think for a minute. Try to reason it out yourself. What is your plan by the way? So you want to go back and never come back?"
"Yes"
"Are you crazy?"
"If you think this is crazy then I am."
"It is ok if you do not answer this question. Is there someone else?"
"No. I want to go home. I will call 911 if you do not send me"
"First cool down. Think about it. Think about our parents. It is less than a month that we got married and now you want to return home. You very well knew that you had to come here. What were you thinking? Even if you are returning home what happens to our marriage?"
"I am not blaming you. I take the blame. It is my mistake. I can't stay so far away from my family. If you are so interested come to India"
"I am family too! What you are asking is ridiculous."
The next day she would not change her mind. I called my folks. They said that it was my decision and! they would stand by me. I booked her ticket and
put it in her hand the next evening. She was to leave in 2 days. Nothing would convince her to change her mind. She was crying like a kid. Then she left.
She had done nothing for me to miss but something inside me was telling me that I was at fault. I tried to shake it off but as time grew I started feeling more guilty. I called her. She made it clear that she did not find me despicable but she would not leave her city. Her parents apologized profusely but they were helpless too.
I have had crushes. None of them were serious. There was this girl in my high school tuition whose phone no I managed to find out. Then the prettiest
girl in college whom everybody loved, who talked to me once. Then the girl from my city who was at my university in USA who made me feel at home when I
visited her place. I had ignored them once! I crossed their paths. But Anjali was my wife. I could not ignore her.
I decided to quit my job. I went home. No one back home knew I was returning. I wanted to surprise her. I dropped off my bags at my place and went to the college she was teaching. The gate keeper would not let me in. So I had to wait outside for the classes to get over.
She walked out alone, struggling to carry her bag, tired, with slow steps. She was walking towards the bus stop. I silently followed her and went behind her and whispered, "Do you mind if I carry your bag?"
She was startled and turned to face me. Her eyes lit up. I was not sure if I could hug her. I was smiling and she had 100 questions written all over her face. "I want to spend a week with you in this city. Show me the things that you could not miss"
That one week went in a jiffy. She was treated a kid at home with all the comforts. That explained her behavior. Coffee was brought to her in the morning. Even her dress was laid out for her. She would have breakfast and leave. The bus journey was an hour. She would sit near the window with a book. Then once in the college she would teach her classes and come out tired in the evening. She would stand in the crowded bus carrying her bag which would look heavy. Then she would alight, go home, have a snack and would head out to a friend's place.
Some times she'd stay home watching TV or listening to music. When her dad returned she would join him and they'd have dinner. Then her mom would tuck
her in bed. Weekends were not much different. She would sleep late, wake up for breakfast and lie down talking on the phone. Then she would visit the temple in the evening and would have her singing lessons. Then she would eat out and would head home late. That was her life. It was something every human being wanted - simple, content and happy. Of course to her I was a villain. I told her that I understood her. I wanted to know if it was ok if she stayed in the same city but away from her parents. Her only condition was that I should not stay at my parent's place to which I agreed.
So we moved into a small apartment. She knew nothing. She had to be taught everything. She learnt. It was hard to make her understand that she had duties and she had a husband. Coffee had to be brought to her in the morning. She made the rules and broke them. She did not care for me. Sometimes she would not return home but go to her parents' place without informing me. I would have had to go bring her back.
Slowly she started realizing about married life. She would wake up before me, try to cook, agree for a movie, visit my friend's place, invite me to her college, let me dress her up, dance in front of me, teach me Chemistry, talk about her crushes, play cricket with me, make me cry for a change. She was growing mature day by day. One day she apologized for the whole thing. I brushed it aside. Finally I had her the way I wanted.
Today I am happy and content with my life. She is still there crying to get her things done. I keep reminding her how she had threatened to call the police. She laughs it away. Some times I wonder how life would have been if I had not returned. Then again some things are left as they are.
That's how life is..........

Hello Everyone !
Look at the pictures below.
Imagine the possibilities.
What we can accomplish in our lives with all the
blessings that God has showered on us.
Next Time You Think Life is Hard...Think Again!....
My name is Nick Vujicic and I was born without limbs and doctors have no medical explanation for this birth 'defect'. As you can imagine, I was faced with many challenges and obstacles.
Their firstborn son had been born without limbs! There were no warnings or time to prepare themselves for it... The doctors were shocked and had no answers at all! There is still no medical reason why this had happened and Nick now has a Brother and Sister who were born just like any other baby.
I know that there is no such thing as luck, chance or coincidence that these 'bad' things happen in our life.
I had complete peace knowing that God won't let anything happen to us in our life unless God has a good purpose for it all
I am now twenty-three years old and have completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. I am also a motivational speaker and love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. I have developed talks to relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today's teenagers. I am also a speaker in the corporate sector.
I have a passion for reaching out to youth and keep myself available for whatever God wants me to do, and wherever He leads, I follow.
Writing several best-selling books has been one of my dreams and I hope to finish writing my first by the end of the year.
It will be called 'No Arms, No Legs, and No Worries!'
I believe that if you have the desire and passion to do something, and if it's God's will, you will achieve it in good time. As humans, we continually put limits on ourselves for no reason at all! What's worse is putting limits on God who can do all things. We put God in a 'box'. The awesome thing about the Power of God, is that if we want to do something for God, instead of focusing on our capability, concentrate on our availability for we know that it is God through us and we can't do anything withoutGod
. Once we make ourselves available for God's work, guess whose capabilities we rely on? God's!
Now, sit back and think of your goals and dreams which you have always targeted in your life. If at any point of time, you find them difficult or impossible to achieve then check your mailbox again and go through this mail …
NEED WASHING??
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been
6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It
was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain
gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the
spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the
Target.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their
hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and
sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories
of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome
reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all
caught in 'Mom let's run through the rain,' she said.
'What?' Mom asked.
'Lets run through the rain!' She repeated.
'No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit,' Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated: 'Mom, let's run
through the rain,'
'We'll get soaked if we do,' Mom said.
'No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning,' the young girl
said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.
This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?
'Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!'
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes.
Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life.
A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
'Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If GOD let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing,' Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed
by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories...So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday. To everything there is a
season and a time to every purpose under heaven.
I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Send this to the people you'll never forget and remember to also send it to the person who sent it to you. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them.
If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry.
Take the time to live!!!
Keep in touch with your friends, you never know when you'll need each other -- and don't forget to run in the rain!

This theory will win the Physics Nobel Prize in 2008!
Equation 1
Human = eat + sleep + work + enjoy
Donkey = eat + sleep
Therefore,
Human = Donkey + work + enjoy
Therefore,
Human - enjoy = Donkey + work
In other words,
Human that don't know how to enjoy = Donkey that work
============ ========= ========= ========= ========= ===
Equation 2
Men = eat + sleep + earn money
Donkeys = eat + sleep
Therefore,
Men = Donkeys + earn money
Therefore,
Men - earn money = Donkeys
In other words,
Men that don't earn money = Donkeys
============ ========= ========= ========= ========= ====
Equation 3
Women = eat + sleep + spend
Donkeys = eat + sleep
Therefore,
Women = Donkeys + spend
Therefore,
Women - spend = Donkeys
In other words,
Women that don't spend = Donkeys
============ ========= ========= ========= ========= =====
To Conclude:
From Equation 2 and Equation 3
Men that don't earn money = Women that don't spend.
So, Men earn money not to let women become Donkeys! (Postulate 1)
And, Women spend not to let men become Donkeys! (Postulate 2)
So, we have?
Men + Women = Donkeys + earn money + Donkeys + spend money
Therefore from Postulates 1 and 2, we can conclude,
Man + Woman = 2 Donkeys that live happily together!
Human = eat + sleep + work + enjoy
Donkey = eat + sleep
Therefore,
Human = Donkey + work + enjoy
Therefore,
Human - enjoy = Donkey + work
In other words,
Human that don't know how to enjoy = Donkey that work
============ ========= ========= ========= ========= ===
Equation 2
Men = eat + sleep + earn money
Donkeys = eat + sleep

============ ========= ========= ========= ========= =====
Smart’ contact lens to monitor diseases

Researchers have developed a contact lens with a built-in pressure sensor that could help monitor conditions such as glaucoma.
Glaucoma is an eye disease that damages the optic nerve and impairs vision, sometimes progressing to blindness.
The device is based on a new technique, which can embed conducting circuits in the organic polymer traditionally used to make contact lenses.
Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is an elastic, transparent and gas-permeable organic polymer that can be castmoulded into a range of simple shapes.
It is used in everything from contact lenses to breast implants, but the process of cast-moulding severely limits the kinds of structures that can be made with the material.
Now, Hailin Cong and Tingrui Pan from the University of California, Davis, have come up with a simple method to produce PDMS components without the need for casting moulds – and their process can also make the material conduct electricity.
HOW IT WORKS
The researchers added a chemical to a liquid PDMS solution that causes the mixture to set, or polymerise, when zapped with UV light.
Then, they exposed the mixture to UV light through a mask containing a circuit pattern.
Only the areas hit by the light polymerise and any remaining liquid can be washed away, leaving an imprint of the circuit.
“The technique can be used to create features just 10 micrometres in size,” the researchers said.
The scientists also developed a technique to give the polymer another property – electrical conductivity – by adding a solution of silver to the mix. The silver then becomes trapped in the material when it polymerises, creating a path along which electrons can pass.
Since the resistance of the path changes as the material is stretched, the modified PDMS is suitable for a range of micro-sized electromechanical systems.
KEEPING AN EYE ON DISEASES
One of the first devices that the researchers have produced is a tiny pressure sensor, which they bent into the shape of a contact lens.
Pan said that such a device could measure the stress on the cornea surface and the fluid pressure within the eye to monitor glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
“The eye always has a certain pressure, which is why the eyeball is a sphere,” New Scientist quoted Pan as saying. In glaucoma patients, that pressure rises and changes the eye’s shape, which would deform the contact lens sensor.
“The change in configuration will alter the resistance and give a different electrical reading,” Pan said.
The prototype has an opaque sensor that would impair vision and so would be worn only briefly, but researchers are designing transparent equivalents that could be worn for long periods to give a continuous pressure read-out.
The device also contains a small RFID tag to read the data wirelessly.
“The new way of manufacturing PDMS can be significantly useful for biological sensing systems,” Pan said. ANI

HOW BAD IS YOUR ANGER: ACCORDING TO YOUR STAR SIGN :
ARIES March 21 April 20
Nothing seems to ruffle you more than a lack of discipline, disloyalty and decorum.
But Arians are also known to go into a rage very easily when challenged. Those of you who have
been on the receiving end of the Aries temper know that if not calmed down they can even get violent. But one thing is certain if the opponent remains calm and does not react to their outburst, Arians cool down very fast. They are also the first to apologize, which makes them easier to forgive
TAURUS April 21 May 20
you are generally quiet and have control over your emotions. It is difficult to predict what will upset you, so when you do lose your cool, people don't know how to react. Your temper is like that of a raging bull, and anyone trying to pacify you will be the first one to get a verbal bashing. You generally get upset when you are cornered or when people accuse you of doing something wrong. You also hate being reminded about mistakes you've made in the past. You also have the potential to be terribly vindictive if rubbed the wrong way.
GEMINI May 21 June 21
You are recognised by your cheerful disposition and your jovial nature is not easily susceptible to anger. In fact, you are the best person to have around when there is an ugly scene at a party you can bring the warring factions together quite diplomatically. But when you lose your cool, you yell and scream and will not listen to reason. You must have the last word in a wordy duel. Your capacity to argue aggressively is matched only by your seductive charm.
CANCER June 22 July 21
Considering how charming, caring, and kind you are, you dislike unpleasant scenes, much less creating one yourself. You have great tolerance and rarely get provoked into losing your temper. If someone is unreasonable or trying to create trouble, you are more likely to walk away quietly. But that does not mean you do not have a temper. When angry, in your effort to control your emotions, you tremble, your hands get sweaty, and sometimes you fumble for words. Tears roll down your eyes easily and the pponent is touched by your innocence and will seek an apology immediately.
LEO July 22 August 21
If anyone has total control over their emotions, it is you. But then, you can be described as stiff, cold and uncaring. You are known to lack spontaneity but you really don't care about opinions. You don't like to create scenes and will never accept invitations to a party where you suspect the presence of an unruly lot. But your very presence seems challenging to some and they take vicarious pleasure in your disquiet. When angry you can use very critical language. A dressingdown can humiliate your opponent, causing a strain between both of you forever
VIRGO August 22 September 21
Most of you are gentle and have full control over your emotions, but those of you given to temper tantrums can certainly get violent. When see thing with rage, you yell and shout and tend to break things lying close at hand. You can even harm yourself by banging your hands on a glass top table or wall. You should never get into any argument, for you are a sore loser. You feel that others are trying to persecute you and don't quite respect your opinions. When hurt, you can also hold grudges forever.
LIBRA September 22 October 22
Did someone say that you are the charmers of the zodiac? Well, it's true. Few have ever seen you ruffled or angry. You are very conscious of your image, and you believe that anger distorts your face and personality. You also think you are above things like anger. But wait before you get into self-congratulatory mood. Your family or those very close to you know u better. You have an unmatched temper amongst all the zodiac signs, and what makes it worse is your capacity to justify it.
SCORPIO October 23 November 21
Of course you don't lose your cool. But your very demeanor (manner) projects haughtiness (arrogance, pride), pride and grand disdain (disregard) for lesser mortals(humans). Others are often found saying that anger sits on your nose, and you are raring to give your peace of mind to the first person who tries to act funny with you. You are selective in the choice of your friends, and have a low tolerance for the superfluous (extra) types. Your tongue-lashing (attack) is generally in a soft hissing tone, for when you scream your voice tends to get shrill and loud, and you do hate drawing attention to yourself! When upset, you are angrier with yourself for having shown weakness, for the last thing that Scorpio wants to show is being out of control.
SAGITTARIUS November 22 December 20
You are insensible and generally have complete no control over your emotions. You do get angry quickly and others marvel at your anger levels even when provoked. Actually, you get tonguetied when angry and you will remove your anger waiting for the other person to calm down. Then you will reason with your opponent and convince the other person in a very gentle manner that the whole thing was just his mistake . You're also likely to totally sever ties with someone when you're upset with them.
CAPRICORN December 21 January 19
Few will believe that a hardcore practical and materialistic person like you is capable of sensitivity and genuine emotions. You project a hard exterior but are actually very sensitive, a trait you successfully hide from others. You can be seething with anger but will not betray your feelings. But then there are times that even you cannot control your temper. Under such circumstances you can shout and scream, more with frustration at the situation than with anger at any particular person. Your outbursts can shock others and can make them feel guilty too.
AQUARIUS January 20 February 18
You are noble and kind and dislike losing control over your emotions. It is very rare for you to get angry. You are also the pacifier in situations that involve arguments. It is always your endeavour to be perfect and socially correct in your behaviour and attitude, but if misunderstood and slighted you can give in to an angry outburst. You will shout and scream and then walk out from the scene. You cannot easily forget the situation and will be bitter about it for a long time.
PISCES February 19 March 20
The only thing that can be said about you dreamers is that you appear even more attractive when angry. You are very sensitive to others' feelings, so you rarely hurt them. But when others tend to hurt you, then things take a nasty turn. You will yell and use harsh words, and feel inclined to shake everything and everyone up. Your creative imagery is at its best when angry, and you tend to get pretty dramatic. When upset, you refuse to listen to reason and wish to be left alone. But once you calm down, you repent your tantrums and seek forgiveness. So nobody can be upset with you for too long.
